As Metropolitan Library System's Learning & Development Specialist, I stood up the system's learning-management platform from the ground up, authored SCORM-compliant courses, and designed staff development that reached across the system. It is where I learned that good technology is only as valuable as the people you help use it.

A public library system is a training challenge: staff spread across many locations, doing very different jobs, all needing to stay current. My charge was to build the infrastructure and the content that made system-wide staff development possible -- and to make it something people actually wanted to use.
Designed and delivered staff training grounded in eLearning best practices, for both synchronous and asynchronous delivery.
Stood up the Edubrite learning-management system from the ground up: configuration, course structure, user management, and rollout.
Authored SCORM-compliant course modules for consistent, trackable, self-paced training across the system.
Partnered with departments across the system to establish best practices and grow staff capability.
Selected, configured, and launched the system's first dedicated learning-management platform -- moving staff development onto trackable, self-paced online modules and building the SCORM-compliant content to fill it.
Founded and served as chief editor of a community literary magazine printed by Metro's Park Hudson Press, giving local writers a venue in print. The magazine continued production after my departure.
